Here is a quick and easy tutorial to make Edward Elric’s shoes!
This will help you for a emergency cosplay, when you are out of money or out of time!
What you will need.
A pair of basic shoes (converse shoes work perfectly)
a red marker
a black sharpie
black fabric paint (I used sebeo)
With the red marker, paint a line all around the shoes. The red sharpie works perfectly on the plastic, but it’s safer to put two layers of red sharpie.
Do the same with the black sharpie: paint a line above the red one.
Depending of the sharpie, you might get a matte or bright effect: do not hesitate to test several sharpie until you find the perfect one!
Paint the rest of the shoe using the black sebeo paint: it will give a matte effect but the shoe will stay souple and easy to wear.
Let the shoes dry a whole night and don’t forget to paint or dye the laces in black!
